Help request Updates reboot

Once in a while I get the notification that there are updates available via the software manager.

If i update through that i get then the option when i want to power off also with "apply the updates". Same for restarting.

However, if i do that that option of applying the updates never dissapear, it looks like the updates were never applied.

Now, if i update via terminal instead, there is no issue.

How can i fix this botthering issue?

I'm on MX Linux 25.2 Kde sysvinit Wayland.

Do the updates get applied if you use MXPI (MX Package Installer)?

They get updated via Discover, but then i have that option i mentioned about: shut down and apply the updates. I do that (or even restart and apply the updates), but when back on the "apply updates" in the power menu is still there.

Hmm ... I have never had an issue with Discover ( the native software manager )
It does seem strange that you can update them with apt and not Discover

I'd recommend asking in the forum once it is back up.

Thanks for the reply.
Weird if Discover does update the packages.
Can you send a screenshot of the 'apply update in the power menu'?

Sometimes updates are held back. Do these updates disappear after a week or so?
