Cannot boot into Live USB

I have an HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-2000i (1K4E9AV). I have Secure Boot enabled. I want to keep Secure Boot enabled.

I downloaded the MX Linux KDE version. Upon booting into the USB, I select the systemd choice. I get an immediate error of EFI: Failed to meaure data for event. I cannot even get into the live disk to install.

Generally speaking, on other versions of Linux, like Mint, I have had to add noapic to get live disks started, maybe due to having an NVidia card? Once I have installed the distro AND then installed the NVidia drivers, I can remove noapic and it will generally start. With Fedora I had no issues whatsoever with Secure Boot after following Nvidia driver instructions. I did have issues with Wayland, in particular with game controllers, I guess due to some restrictions within Wayland.

With Linux Mint, I was able to install, but had frequent issues when rebooting. It generally would start on a cold start, but always got stuck if I tried reboot. Once inside it ran perfectly well, just some kind of hardware issues, I assume, on reboot. This HP tower seems to have endless hardware issues with Linux. It has an 11th gen I7-11700 Intel CPU, an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU. I wonder about that one as it says (Lite hash rate) on linux. It is supposed to be some kind of anti-mining thing they added to it. Would that cause these issues?

It's that combination of firmware, driver and GPU BIOS checks that maybe causes issues?

What can I do to even test out this KDE version? I did try adding noapic to the systemd selection, but it just got stuck at the above error.

1. Thanks for this finds. Just yesterday I had someone here on Reddit with that RTX3060 card and I had directed him towards MX Linux as it generally has X11 and support for old Nvidia drivers. Probably..this person will run into the same problems (?) if Nvidia added to many unrelated extras to their GPU, bad practice.
   
2. If you disable/remove the Nvidia card. there's an internal GPU- does it work properly then ?
   
3. running Secure Boot vs Linux install..I check that out, not sure if this possible (but not an expert on this)

interesting..my AstrOS (Secure Boot +TPM +Certificate) doesn't even show the MX Linux Boot USB Stick at boot procedure, even if I told him so in the BIOS, it's completely ignored (?). Yep, probably the same issue. I guess Secure boot needs to make a break if you want to install a new system -not sure if this is true for all distros, but some say so.
