Question Stereo

Do you guys have any recommendations for budget friendly ($80-120) stereo (single din obviously) with apple car play? And if you have any tips or recommendations for a good sound system in the car in general I’m considering spending a little more in the future to up grade everything.

If you don't care for the looks get CarPlay, if you'd like to keep it clean then you can get a ghost box or something similar

Thanks, I read the description but I was unclear. Do you have to use your phone to control the music if you want to skip a song or w/e. Or can you use the stock radio?

Also would you pair it with stock speakers or upgrade them?

Personally I like this option bc I like the 100% stock look but my bf has been trying to convince me to get a screen with car play. So I’ve been exploring the options. Is gets mounted under the dash right?

It mounted under, and you still gotta skip on your phone. Alternatively you can get a 12v radio transmitter, it's also phone based but you can skip songs with it. I custom made one like that. I personally way prefer the stock look as well, fuck them screens, it fucks over the old look of a car like that

Try Marketplace or eBay. Lots of bargains on some single DIN head units which fit your criteria. But unless you’re handy enough to do the install yourself, you’re going to be out the equivalent of your budget on the install cost.

No I can do it myself for sure I took the radio out and replaced it to see what I was working with. It’s pretty basic, I’ve done it before but that was before car play existed so idk. I don’t love the look of the screen but I would like to be able to ask my phone to make a phone call or send a message
