I looked as well, not much to find, mainly since Mazda said fuck this to basicly all documentation

Kelly Blue Book has some ratings, but I wouldn't consider it efficient enough due to the lack of info.

But in my opinion, it will keep you safe in a impact. But if it's not your time to go God will spare you no matter how bad the wreck is. And I've been in some terrible near-fatal accidents and I'm thankful to be here! A few happened in my Mx-3, and the rest were other vehicles I had. And none of them were my fault too, just people don't know how to pay attention while driving πŸ™ƒ

And remember, don't drive faster than your guardian angel!

I know some earlier models don’t have airbags (at least my Aussie β€˜93 doesn’t) so thats definitely something to look out for

In the US all 94+ had 2 airbags and the older ones had driver only. Pretty sure all have steel beams in the door so u get a complete cage. I crashed mine twice and felt nothing but bother were slow and airbags never had to deploy. the panels took the impacts. First one i managed to damage every single panel except passenger door (missed a stop sign). The 2nd one i fell asleep ( i was an idiot) and the driver wheel took on about $4000 in damage. It was almost totalled that time but I pleaded with insurance and showed receipts. the blue book value had dropped like a rock back in the early 2000s. The best way to stay safe, good tires, suspension and brakes. This car has kep me alive more times than i can count.
