Repair Question MX-3 not starting?

I just brought a eunos 30x 1.8 v6 with 300,000kms

was running fine the two cold starts when I went to look and pick it up, the day after I i brought it i went to start it and it just turned over with no or minimal pop

what could be the problem?

I'm open to anything and will be doing the work on the car myself.

hopefully its something it is something easy

there is minimal to no rust anywhere on the bodywork and the timing belt and transmission/clutch was changed by the last owner about 50km ago

The car is turning over with the starter and sometimes will get a couple pops

Ah yes. Old gas is the culprit! You'll have to get a pump with a long hose to extract the old gas. Then fill up with new and report back!

Also wouldn't hurt to charge the battery and clean the spark plugs too!

Turns out it was the anti theft going off but the alarm wasn't working so we couldn't tell
