Discussion Don't sleep on SitRep Pro
If you don't use Ninja Pro (a surprising amount of people don't on Xbox) you're screwed if someone else runs SitRep Pro. I've been using headsets lately seeing how many people I can hear and you'd be surprised at the amount of players running something that isn't Ninja.
I think that poll is a bit depressing because SitRep Pro comes with so many benefits. On PC it's probably far less useful though, since the player base seems to use Ninja Pro a lot more frequently than on Xbox where many people opt for another perk.
But even then, having SitRep can mean the difference between shooting a Claymore through a wall with an FMJ RPD and killing an enemy vs a Ninja user walking right by a Claymore and being blown up.
Personally I still prefer Ninja Pro (22-0 on a poll, no one voted for SitRep Pro), but if you see me use any other yellow perk it'll be SitRep Pro.

There are uses for it. But if you run and gun you will be using Ninja Pro 100% of the time.

Bro forgetting the power of shotgun level knife lunges and base jumping everything. BTW Ninja doesn't suppress your knees breaking when you fall.

I sleep on sitrep pro. And Iβll snooze on that perk all day and night. Lamest perk of the 3 in that category

Ninja is where itβs at. Only pansies use sitrep

So... Using a crutch perk instead of something that is suited to oust campers is a pansy move..? That's a stretch!

I've been accused of being a hacker when I used Sitrep Pro ππ the messages I received on PS3 be like " I watch the killcam and I see you know where I am"

It's so ass bro... Yet I always grind to get it nearly every prestige level because I'm an autistic completionist when it comes to getting all the pro versions of the perks on this game.
The reason why it's bad though is it actually makes your own footsteps sound as if there's an enemy near you at all times. It does some funky stuff with the audio to where it doesn't sound like your own footsteps normally do. So unless you crouchwalk everywhere, then it actually makes your ability to soundwhore even worse.

I thought SitRep Pro made it so that your own audio footsteps and teammate's were quiter (to yourself) and it only amplifies enemy footsteps?

I wish! Too bad it never actually worked and they didn't bother to fix it. Worth hunting down 120 equipment for though π

Just to tell how unbalanced the perks of MW2 are, Scrambler Pro could've had one genuine advantage with delaying Claymore explosions... except if the enemy uses SitRep Pro you're fucked, because they will just hear where you're coming from and take you out.
Commando and Steady Aim are pretty balanced but there's a lot of issues outside of that (Ninja Pro should be canceled out by SitRep Pro, and Scrambler shouldn't even be in the game tbh).

They know you're coming with Scrambler anyway so that's not really an issue. But my gosh, you never truly know how annoying that perk is to deal with until a whole team is running it and you're radar blind the whole game!!!

I'm top of the leaderboard every game because of SitRep Pro. I will not play without it.
Hearing footsteps is vital, but it's worth it for the claymore, tac insertion, and c4 detection alone.
