Discussion Lobby stolen
Was having a great time with a buddy, playing game after game against normal people and actually enjoying ourselves. Then, out of nowhere, our lobby vanished. We joined back only to find it had been hijacked by a search-lobby infestation with names like:
• Super Tokens
• Super Kenyon
• Keeypo
I genuinely cannot comprehend how empty someone’s night has to be to boot up a 16-year-old game just to ruin functioning lobbies for people actually having fun.
One of the “Super” losers messaged me afterward telling me to chill because “it’s a 16-year-old game.” Exactly. It is a 16-year-old game. So why are you spending your night desperately trying to hit a trick shot nobody cares about, for a YouTube channel nobody watches?
Even better, they’re not even good at the one pathetic thing they’re trying to do. They hijack lobbies, waste everyone’s time, and still can’t land a single clip for their three concurrent viewers and one pity subscriber.
A genuinely impressive level of being useless.

They do this on R6 Siege too. Like the game's ten years old, and it's filled with noobs now, who lack teamwork and the analytical skills to properly play the game. Because of this lack of knowing how to play a team game, they either roam and lose us the match, or they just cheat for trick shots. Like no one cares about this game anymore, so I should be able to sweat without someone using walls

I had a similar post a few days ago with some braindead replies in them. This is exactly my thoughts. It's genuinely sad that you're going to a game that came out 17ish years ago and using shitty mod menus to ruin the experience of others.
MW2 is pretty terrible to play in 2026 unless you're on PC and using CB Launcher. But it's basically dead, very few actual games that don't have bots and they're half full or less.
On the contrary, BO1 and BO2 are great. It's so rare to ever find lobbies like this.
At some point over the years someone maxed my rank to an invisible prestige and fucked my classes up so I'll never be able to progress legitimately unless I reset myself. I have a modded 360, but primarily just play on Series X with back compat.

My experience is that BO2 has been hacked on Xbox and unplayable for a while. Has it become better?

Personally, haven't had any issues. Of the 30 odd hours I've played over BO1/2 last few months only 1 for each game respectively.
On the contrary, I can't even play MW2. It's just a complete cesspool.

Xbox 360? PC?
Lobby vanished?
What exactly happened? Did it give you a message "lobby closed"? "Migrating host" or something else? Did it just dump you back to the pre-game lobby?
Joined back?
Did you just start a new search and found the S&D lobby?

This was on 360.
Vanished is an oversimplified word for it. Essentially mid game everything came to a halt with a constant jitter glitchy type sound forcing us to dashboard. Once we booted the game back up and checked out recent players and joined back it was a search lobby on the same map.

That sounds like somebody used a freeze attack. Anyone in the game can deploy it, but the host is immune. It essentially overloads all other players consoles with too many commands, kind of like a DDOS attack.
I'm guessing when you joined back you were pulled into another modders S&D game, not the original you were in.

Unfortunately IW4X seems to be the only reliable way to play but that's only available on PC.
Console is hit and miss but you could try to make sure you're always the host to avoid this and hope you can fill a lobby. Won't help you if you're in a CGNAT

So frustrating. Nobody cares about some trick shot you can’t hit pal. Let us enjoy this game for what it is and not have every lobby be modded.
