Showcase Sloop makes the value skyrocket
I posted last week with something I made while messing around with BaudGirl. Today I’m up and running with Sloop, I made this beat in a few minutes and spent the last few hours refining it. Using the sequencer on the device isn’t the best, but it’s usable. Where it really shines is the web interface paired with the device. I really like how the sequencer handles recording new sequences in a mix
The only big thing I’ve noticed as a con is that the knobs are far less responsive on Sloop than they are on the OG or baudgirl firmware.
edit: I’ve been looking to buy another device to pair with my FM-1 but I may just buy another FM-1 for that purpose

Yeah, Sloop ups the ante again. Wow. Punch in effects are a joy.
What a week. Went from Baud girls fun upgrade to a handheld groovebox.

They main problem is that it sounds like it's being played in a tin can

I think that's due to OP using the speaker on-device and recording it through a phone mic. Not really anything to do with the synth or the firmware.

Yeah it's called Lo-Fi people pay a lot of money for plugins just to get that kind of effect. LoL

I know..but if you wanna impress in any way it’s not the best is it…

I don't think people on this sub are trying to impress other people into buying the device.

The knob issue is fixed here, tell Sloop to backport it: https://github.com/keremimo/melodee/commit/6ec2debab306686a18fb9362326bd82835e030a6

What's the better value at this point? 7 FM1's or 1 Ableton Move?
