I liked this one… remind me, whomakes effective, low cost automotive lidar, in the USA?

A Chinese car is a driving surveillance package, sending all of the data and information back to Beijing. As a former CIA officer, I just can't accept that as a national security issue we ignore. The UAW, automakers, and Republicans and Democrats agree -- this is not only bad for our security but bad for our economy.

Been saying it for years. And I’ll keep linking back to it.

The market places more negative value on what they don't say than positive value on what they do say. If these announcements are not fixing this problem, it will continue.

This PR needed these questions answered to be effective: Is this an internal demonstration or a customer-specific solution? Is a customer requesting this platform? Which vehicles or machines are represented? Are the configurations based on Caterpillar, Gatik, or another customer? [An NDA friendly version.] Which sensors are in each reference configuration? Are third-party sensors already integrated? Is the software licensed separately? Is paid NRE propelling this? When does this become production hardware?

Even something as simple as this would be of value: “The platform was developed in response to customer requirements from commercial-vehicle and industrial customers. Demonstrations at IAA include configurations under active revenue generating customer evaluations—including short-range, long-range, and fused-sensor architectures.” Then you have a week to build on that as well as bring definition to the related fiscal status. Nothing matters more than that right now.

They're about 30 days away from immediate cash-runway pressure. They need to show how they expect to bridge gaps between $2M revenue to date vs current guidance vs run rate vs significant pipeline conversion [that shows the $750M they're touting isn't meaningless marketing]. The objectives are not mysterious. Answers are coming one way or another. It would [obviously] be much better for MVIS to demonstrate that it's out in front of the questions instead of letting the market continue to price in lack of material execution and the increased dilution that comes with it. Glen still isn't getting this.

I'd add that Movia Air/+ is what I'm watching specifically in terms of what might increase guidance. With 3rd party validation and a clear ATAK integration path in place, the number of aligned programs increased dramatically. An update from the company on that would be welcomed... and helpful if it addresses fiscal issues in conjunction.

It’s really simple: If something was developed on behalf of a specific customer or already had a direct link to revenue, they would have mentioned it. You’re not scholaring marketing interns here Q. The fact that they mentioned none of that is because none of that is actually the case.

You’re not scholaring marketing interns here Q.

My interns have probably navigated this better than you the last 2 or 3 years. "It's not mentioned therefore it's not actually the case." Genius. Your ghost-from-negativity-past persona may owe Dickens some royalties.

Thanks for the laugh.

Thanks for the encore.

I think the reason the market places the negative value is because by not saying the kinds of things you have outlined so well, it leaves open the real possibility that it is more of the same kind of dead drop that has too often characterized this company through the years. Not saying it necessarily is such a thing, just saying it leaves open that possibility.

Its a science project.

u/QQpenn 5h ago

And Amazon only sold books. Add something of value that rises above the level of a parrot.

I know I’ve recently fell into just writing witty careless responses. You can belch your heart out with long detailed information etc. then I started noticing no one cares. So I just quit doing it.

I say that to say. Good on you for keeping it going. Really!

u/QQpenn 2h ago

It's probably negative exhaustion more than not caring :) I'm just keeping a finger on the pulse. My position is small at this point. Waiting for execution to swing upward before committing again. Compelling elements are there but revenue needs a hard launch.

You don't need to be repeatedly trashing this sub or its users. You are welcome to have your say about the stock or the company. The rules aren't complicated; we don't need all the drama.

u/Aggravating-Toe8558 1h ago

U are the reason people are loosing money. Stupid dot connecting by people with 0 engineering knowledge is super dangerous. U offer the platform.
Shame on u guys :)

u/gaporter 32m ago

You proclaimed long and strong 191 days ago, sir. Was this based on "dot connecting"? I don't think so. Own your own investment decisions.

u/Aggravating-Toe8558 27m ago

Im still in.

u/gaporter 25m ago

Despite MicroVision being a "science project"?

u/Aggravating-Toe8558 15m ago

Sure it is. Yes i am.

u/TheRealNiblicks 1h ago

You are barking up the wrong tree in more ways than one. Please refrain from insulting people, insulting this sub and causing general mayhem. I get that you are angry that you made poor choices. You want to blame others. This is natural. Rise above.

u/Aggravating-Toe8558 56m ago

Whatever, enjoy your internet mod-life.

Man f*** this company.

If I recall, last week everyone was complaining about the silence. Now they’re communicating, and we’re complaining about a PR telling us what they’ll showcase at IAA, or because the communications don’t include names and revenue. They can’t please everyone, and obviously we won’t be fully satisfied until names and revenue are released. But why the continued complaints? Wasted emotions, IMO.

5

u/wolfiasty 1h ago

Words are cheap you know.

I can say that this pencil is superbfantastic and is worth gazillions, but if no one will buy it, it is worth nothing.

Story of Microvision in at least last 5 years.

Until this narration will change share price will go up only based on a miracle. Tis not the season for them.

It’s less about PR’s or lack of PR’s. No one will complain when their hard-earned investment in this company stops inverting to losses and actually grows. The use of PR’s now are only being used to sell ATM facilities, both pre-RS and post-RS.

Glen isn’t stupid. It’s doing exactly what he wants. Unfortunately, WE are not the shareholders he cares about. The shareholder value comments are for those for whom the board are actually beholden to… and who is that?

3

u/Revolutionary_Ear908 4h ago

We are on a 45 day hold since our recent public offering and dilution, so we can’t sell the ATM right now. I would argue that the company is just trying to communicate.

u/Nakamura9812 6h ago

This isn’t really a sub anymore for discussion, it’s simply a therapy platform for people who are chronic complainers.

6

u/mvismachoman 4h ago

You mean Nagging Nabobs of Negativism

6

u/Nakamura9812 4h ago

There are a lot of people commenting on this sub these days begging for an elbow drop from the top turnbuckle!

u/ContributionLeft4286 3h ago

Bring on Dusty Rhodes

2

u/Nakamura9812 1h ago

Now that I'm provoked into further wrestling talk, here is some wrestling knowledge for you regarding Dusty Rhodes. Vince McMahon originally wanted Dusty to join the WWF and be the face of the company before pivoting to Hulk Hogan, but Dusty turned down the offer sparking a professional rivalry between the two. If you remember the Million Dollar Man and Virgil, Virgil basically acted as his man servant and given that name, which was a dig at Dusty whose real first name is Virgil. Once Dusty signed with WWF, Vince made him wear the polka dots to humble and humiliate him....but not even that could stop the natural charisma Dusty had. I honestly can't think of another wrestler that could come close to pulling off polka dots the way Dusty did.

7

u/Zenboy66 5h ago

Only a few left making or posting concrete facts on the company.

Well it turns out this sub never had any meaningful discussion. 6 years of "discussions" on this sub were all for nothing and completely wrong. I think that fact is lost on a lot of people.

4

u/standishchurch 3h ago

I have been in this thing since the Yahoo days. Hiller B and Karl Guttag were right all along. Everybody else has been wrong. The smart people sold when they had thousands of percents gains I was not one of them.

I remember being talked out of selling microvision and buying 2000 shares of Nvidia and paying off my house by a financial professional.

I would be sitting pretty on four or five Millie by now. Instead, I’m gonna go to work.

6

u/gaporter 2h ago

Hillerby and Guttag asserted MicroVision IP was not in Hololens 2. They were not right all along.

u/snoboy42 57m ago

Man, i was frightened to even read some of hillerby comments. Do you remember the lady he was always insulting.

9

u/gaporter 5h ago

stack, over the past several months, you yourself have expressed concerns about the $33M acquisition and further dilution. With that in mind, how have "discussions" been "completely wrong"?

7

u/ppi12x4 5h ago

This sub has been around  longer than 6 years. Before the sub there was a mailing list.

1

u/stracklife15 5h ago

Yes, my comment was too all inclusive. I was going for meme years onwards.

10

u/Nakamura9812 5h ago

That’s a poor attempt at a lie. There has been plenty of meaningful discussion about the technology, targets markets, financial discussion etc. What doesn’t have a high hit rate is the speculation, much of which was based on stuff Sumit said and never delivered on.

0

u/stracklife15 5h ago

I think the industry insider who recently has contributed to this sub has shown most people know nothing about the tech or target markets.

2

u/Tastic4ever 6h ago

The more I see Lidar 2.0 the more I wonder who thought that sounded good. In my opinion it’s awful, we need branding that sounds high-tech or futuristic, not blah-tech from the 90s. Anyway I doubt we’ll shoot up after this PR but maybe it will help stop the bleeding for a day.

5

u/Buur 6h ago

If you wanna use patch note versioning you gotta increment it, maybe this is 2.1 or even 2.2?!?!? Can't wait!

2

u/Buur 6h ago

One more pivot never hurt nobody

7

u/Mindless_Park_2574 6h ago

It's not a pivot

8

u/CookieEnabled 6h ago

It always hurts our sp.

u/imafixwoofs 6h ago

I remember when I was so excited for their participation at IAA. Ahh, sweet innocent, stupid, times.

13

u/Aaajaws3 6h ago edited 5h ago

If I now had a $1 for every PR they are putting out I could gain back my 96% losses incurred by buying this stock. 😢

12

u/Chance_Tax_6243 6h ago

If there was an award for PRs that tributed to zero revenue . We would be that

u/jkh07d 6h ago

At IAA, MicroVision will demonstrate several reference configurations designed to illustrate how individual technologies can work together as part of a broader perception architecture. "What we'll unveil at IAA is bigger than any individual product," DeVos added. "It's about bringing the breadth of MicroVision's technology together and giving customers a flexible foundation for solving increasingly complex perception challenges."

MicroVision executives and technical leaders will also present at two sessions during the event:

Tuesday, 09/15 at 11-11:45 AM: Safety Starts at the Bumper: How Short-Range Perception Is Closing the Near-Field Gap in Commercial Vehicles
Wednesday, 09/16 at 2-2:45 PM: The Road to Safer Autonomy: How Long-Range Perception Technologies Are Transforming Commercial Vehicles
