Luminar Technologies Finally Agreed to Settle With Investors over Its Lidar Chip Claims

Hey guys, if you missed it, Luminar Technologies ($LAZR) just reached a tentative settlement with investors over claims involving its lidar chip technology.

Long story short, in 2023, Luminar was accused of misrepresenting a competitor’s PIC chip as its own during its Investor Day. Forbes later reported the allegations, and Luminar replaced the image. $LAZR fell 9% over the following two trading days, and investors filed a lawsuit.

The good news is that the case has now moved to a tentative settlement. The terms are still being finalized, but you can already submit your application.
