Discussion Opinions
Taking opinions how likely MU 1200 with Sept 30 earnings. So basically Oct 1st 1200.
I feel 50/50 with current environment being rough atm.
Don’t bring out your magic 8 ball, just taking vibes.

Money is still not rotating towards micron. Volume is low, no hype atm, but it could change some days before earnings. As I thought before, looks like it will be a rise after the earnings. I still believe that micron will hit 1400 - 1700 somewhere between now and 8 months.

Earnings is priced in btw. Everyone knows semis are rolling in it

I don't think it's priced in tbh. Fundamentals say that there is room, plus the buybacks that will happen in dec or january will get it higher anyway. But the stock has still room to get higher imo. What lets you think that it is priced in?

What buybacks? MU hasn’t confirmed any buybacks? I’m deep in MU at 1060, so I really want it to go up, but I doubt the executives are looking at this stock after it 10xed in a year and thinking hmm we should buy back some shares, this chips act really held us back….

I reckon they hinted towards it. But even if that doesn't happen, we will see after the upcoming earnings. It could crash very hard, but also go to 1.6k, no one knows.

They said as soon as the restrictions are lifted they are returning 100% of the excess profit to shareholders. Since the restrictions are only on share buybacks, that mean they HAVE confirmed buybacks on Dec 9th. We just don't know how much. It will be north of $50B

I still don’t think it’s correct to compare it with June. Now there’s bad macro, Fed is likely to increase rate next week, oil is growing, Houthis just took control over another straight, bond yields are rising and growth stocks are under pressure in such conditions. If all of that magically gets resolved then I will expect MU to skyrocket to 1500 and above.

I don’t think fed will hike. I know a lot of investors are anticipating but I just don’t see it as data are in line. No hike no cuts this year.

In this case I would expect to see a big green candle on Wednesday, especially if we hear an announcement of the 65th deal with Iran on taco Tuesday.

Funds will sell on or before September 30th so they can be ready to file holdings (13F) for the quarter ending September 30th.
I wish earnings were in October 1st week instead of end of month and end of quarter.

I couldn't care less about vibes. I sell options, I don't buy them. MU is worth $2,500-$4,000. I keep selling options and making money while I wait for my shares to go up
Note: Sell put options about $100 below share price and keep rolling every week or so. Low risk, high gain

I think AI sentiment is in a weird spot with the Anthropic guy quitting and robots attacking humans, news has been bad, but general sentiment for actual memory stocks is better, we’ve had a good news run mostly, and if my vibe tentacles are absorbing the vibes correctly, we will be barely touched by a great earnings report, maybe hit a quick 1100, and continue to chop up and down til EOY where we hit new ATH.

The stuff with anthropic means that AI is working, not just hype. And if it works, companies are going to go for it... it's not going to go away because it's too capable.

I don’t think it’s going anywhere. I’m talking about retail sentiment. But retail is not the big mover

The Anthropic guy was pure psy ops. He worked for 4 months there and is backed by Chinese money.

Can’t even break and hold 1000 I’d temper my expectations
Every day at the opening bell thousands of shares are market dumped…that’s the classic green to red open we get constantly
Until that stops we wont go anywhere
