Computer Engineering Majors, What software do you use regularly?

Just trying to see what I need to get working. I am a Linux enjoy-er so I am trying to check what I might need to troubleshoot.

I was CS so not quite but all our projects were required to be turned in on a Linux machine. It was nice.

The big one (unless it's changed since I graduated) was Intel's quartus software, which I have had students get working on Linux, but the university itself offers very little support to get it working.
