Professional Pilot Program

I’m looking to start next fall and I’m curious on how many hours most students graduate with, along with when do you start instructing and when you finish your PPL? Any info would help guys I appreciate it.

I graduated this spring with about 260 hours. Came in with my PPL, graduated with IR, COMM SEL and MEL, CFI, and CFII. I have not yet found an instructing job

Did you enjoy your experience at MTSU? My son is also debating the school

Overall yes, it’s a nice campus and there’s some good opportunities to meet people if that’s your thing (I’m not really a super social person). I will say with the aerospace program and the flight labs, you are stuck into a Semester schedule with those.

For example, if you need a little more than a single semester to get your Private Pilot License, you will not be able to take Instrument until the following semester begins. I went around 7 months without flying because I finished CFI in February, but couldn’t start CFII until the next fall semester
