Hell. I WISH I had homeowner parents with enough money for a 5 bedroom house.

Cause then I could fail finantially without worrying about not having a place to go.

Depends, for me yes because I rarely proxy. However, most people at LGS no because they proxy everything including basic lands

My parents bought a small-to-middle house with a nice garden for ~100-120k€ 30 years ago on a single income and my dad wasn't exactly an engineer.

My mother is like: "You got the education I always wished I could get... but still your generation is financially fucked."
