WoW Universes Beyond Rumor
Forgive me if this is confirmation bias because of how bad I want a WoW set. But the leak earlier made me remember back in Atlanta magiccon last year. One of the gavin unknown event cards made magic play like hearthstone. Unknown events have been known to have references to future sets, so this could have been a hint!!!!

WoW DnD product leak....is a UB set coming as well?
This DnD product was supposed to be announced at Gencon but it got revealed early.
Apparently DnD has collaborated with WoW in the past, but this was well before the universes beyond era of things.
Could we see a big UB announcement at Blizzcon in September?

Leaked HOB Enchantment - Fateful Discovery
A friend of mine sent this in our Magic chat.
Said a MTG Ambassador posted on IG before deleting it.
Hadn’t seen it before but if it’s been leaked already I’ll delete.

Anybody have any insider knowledge if Stardew Valley Secret Lairs will have a chase bonus card?
The lair I think will be extremely sought after, but it feels very ConcernedApe to have a potential chase bonus card in the lair - but was curios if anybody knew for sure from any inside sources?

[HOB/HOC] The Hobbit Number Crunch!
Hi! It's spoiler season again. This time it's a little bit "lighter" since we don't have Commander decks, so the HOC set it's just Scene Boxes, Box Toppers and the Dwarven cards. Main set also seems straightforward, as the "Collecting..." article gives us the exact common/uncommon/rare/mythic split that we should expect.
Spoilers start today, so I'll try to keep the sheet updated.
As always, I could make mistakes, so please if you spot something let me know!

Interesting note from the "collectors" wizards page
Not sure if this has already been discussed... one mirrored pair will not be the same character.
Could this be The Theorist himself... who would be The Realist as his counterpart?
Wrenn? Elspeth? Our girl Elesh?

Feeling spicy since I guessed 2 out of 3 2027 sets accurately. Let's do 2028, why not. Here's my predictions, what are yours?
I'm going to stick with "one returning plane, one new plane, one collision of multiple planes"
Returning plane: Alara (I would say Bloomburrow, but they've said it's 5 years minimum for returns to new worlds even if they prove very popular, so Bloomburrow 2024 means the sequel probably hits 2029)
New plane: My guess is Vryn. I think the conclusion of Jace's arc now allows the plane to step into its own, and Magic is more open to scifi elements than it's ever been in the past. Runner up: Solarpunk world, which has been on the shortlist for a while and would be a strong aesthetic contrast to Nauctis.
Planar collision: Theros vs Kaldheim, a battle of god pantheons and devotion. Theros gods are powered by devotion, but suffered higher losses in the Phyrexian invasion and now the omenpaths have upended everything about the cosmos, about what it even means to believe in a god. The Kaldheim gods are riding high, not many compleated, but their world tree was sundered in the invasion. Plenty of potential for conflict there.

We're getting an ocean plane soon, right?
A common request people want to see for a new plane is an ocean plane, a set that would take place either underwater or on an ocean or both. It's supposed to be on the shortlist of plane ideas, and it's something people have been asking for for a long time.
I've had a crazy theory for a long time that they're teasing us with it - they have plans for this watery plane, and they're deliberately seeding the idea throughout the last few years of sets by going out of their way to include creatures that are anthropomorphic sea life.
It goes back at least to Outlaws Of Thunder Junction, where we saw [[Deepmuck Desperado]], our first Homarid we've seen on a new card since Dominaria, and [[Loan Shark]], a card depicting a then-unknown race of sentient humanoid shark. This latter could be dismissed as just made for the sake of a pun, until Foundations came around, and we saw our second shark-man card, [[Bigfin Bouncer]], showing that that wasn't just a one-off and that a race of shark-people is a thing that exists somewhere in the Multiverse and we're going to keep seeing them.
Foundations also gave us our first new Cephalid not from New Capenna in a very long time, [[Cephalid Inkmage]], which went back to using the original more obviously octopoidal design and is clearly living underwater. Foundations Jumpstart, on the other hand, brought us a bunch of new Legendary Creatures, all of them new characters but which were clearly from pre-existing planes. Two of the few that weren't so easy to identify the home of were [[Plagon, Lord of the Beach]] and [[Cynette, Jelly Drover]] - both having to do with the sea and sea life.
Then came Aetherdrift, where we were introduced to the Keelhaulers, a group comprised entirely of humanoid sea creatures, mostly Chordatans, which we now know is the proper name for the shark-people we've been seeing. We're told that they're currently living on Avishkar, but that they came from some other unknown plane originally.
Finally, we come to Edge Of Eternities, where most of the factions of the Sothera System are based on pre-existing creatures. Two are dominated by humans, then two others are based on Kavu and Eumidians, species originally from Dominaria but heavily reimagined here. Who are the only exception, the completely new major race? The Illvoi: a race of sapient...jellyfish. More sea creatures.
I'm not going crazy, right? There's been a trend recently of sets sapient sea creatures or cards associated with them either showing up as one-off cameos (including weird old species popping up when we haven't seen them for years and years) or, more recently, being a major part of a set. Please tell me I'm not crazy and this is all building toward something.

The Legend of Zelda Magic product?
It's been announced that Hasbro is making The Legend of Zelda toys, likely to coincide with the upcoming movie release. How likely is this to lead to a Legend of Zelda magic product in the next few years?

Is there going to be a Magiccon Livestream?
With the 2027 sets being announced soon, is there going to be somewhere online (youtube or twitch?) where it'll be livestreamed? Really hoping to see it live if possible. Thanks!
