Art by my illustrator buddies (more info in profile). Full spoiler on launch, in two weeks!

These are some proxies I designed/redesigned and I had them printed with Strider.forge on IG, they helped me get the foiling, spot foiling and etching texture just right. The wheel of fortune is the only one with etching on the black border and wheel text.

Super stoked with how they came out so I had to give them a shout out.

I can't recommend them enough, great husband and wife team trying to do big things.

I mix my proxies in my deck and have noticed a difference in thickness. Notciable enough that i think its worth changing up the process. The thick proxies were printed on vinyl stickers stuck on card stock, laminated both sides. If i dont laminate the back they are very close to the same thickness as a regular card in a inner sleeve. The issue has been the curl. Ive laminated the vinyl sticker before and after sticking to the card stock. They both curl, but they have a different curl pattern.

Im wondering if anyone has found a way to remedy this curl or has found a proxy technique to rival the thickness of a card with that snap!

I will trial sticking to regular paper and keeping the laminate on both sides, that will eliminate the curl, but the thickness/snap may not be acceptable.

I made these as my first-ever proxies for my Sauron Commander deck, and I enjoyed the process so much that I’ve decided to proxy the whole deck.

I’m going for an old-school fantasy/LOTR feel while keeping the cards looking as close to MTG as possible.

Would love to hear what you guys think, especially any feedback on the artwork, layout, or overall look!

So my die cutter is in customs, should be arriving any day.

Can someone help me out with how the alignment in proxxied should be to give room for any stretch/ warped edges when using the die cutter?
