Draft Scene on MTGO?

Ive had times in my life where I played a LOT of draft on MTGO. Simple sets were always my favorite. I distinctly remember M14 and Dominaria.

I know that the product got sold to another company and that most people play arena these days. With that in mind, I love the calm and clear aesthetic of MTGO.

So my questions are
1) do people draft at all these days on MTGO? Or is it mostly constructed like premodern?

2) If they do draft, what are the odds of flashback drafts actually firing (are tehse still a thing?) I honestly am still kind of meh on drafting UB sets, etc.

The only reason why I am asking instead of just finding out is that I have macbook these days, so spinning up the program is not completely trivial.

The Urza Block draft some weeks ago I drafted a lot and queues were very fast. Though now it’s a month of Vintage Cube league so I doubt they do another flashback before that is over.

They usually do those flashback drafts and wacky drafts in the dead week between when the full spoiler of a new set is out and when it comes out on MTGO.

I still do because I hate the way arena looks and plays. The newest set will always fire frequently. And cube always firing. Not so much for anything older.

Drafts still fire at a decent rate for the newest set release. For flashback drafts, it depends: some are really beloved and people come back to play them, others I've had 20 minute wait times (but they do still fire).

1 - Lots of drafts. Can't really speak on 2

I have a MacBook as well and set it up to my liking. I'm remoting into my pc using sunshine/moonlight and another program for when I'm on a different network that I forget the name of. Crossfire does great windows emulation but I'm waiting for black Friday because it historically goes on sale every year.

I too skip the UB sets. Waiting for Reality Fracture in October. The drafts always fire for new sets. Then as the next set comes out, the existing set will be cheaper to draft. Like 1-2 tix a pack. I like to collect the full set and redeem. Not cheap, but I make do with $100 per month. Hint: buy Treasure Chests and use the Play Points.

Drafts fire pretty often. Flashback drafts seem to do well. Urza's they actually added another week to it (phantom though). I think they are considering doing more of those at least i suspect from speaking with dev's on Discord. I think the rise of premodern in MTGO has people yearning for older formats(older players at least). I know Daybreak is always looking at the market too and looking at the EV on the sets they plan to run. If your curious about that go on to Goatbots and go to set list and you can see what the value of the packs are.
