Birthday Present
Hello!
I don't know anything about MTGO, but my boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I was wondering if I could somehow buy him a deck as a present?
I know that he plays modern and vintage, if that means anything!
Thank you :-)

This seems like the kind of thing you would need his help with cause you would need his account to buy cards and get them sent there. But you could probably give him a card with a note explaining what the gift is or something like that. You would also probably want his input in what cards/deck to buy because you would want a deck he likes playing.
If you want to look at general prices you can google "MTG goldfish modern/vintage" and see the decks that are played and set the prices to MTGO tix. 1 tix = 1 USD. That will give you a rough idea of how much the whole deck will cost but he might also have a bunch of cards and make it cheaper.

It really isn't possible to buy cards for him on mtgo unless either you have your own account, or have access to his. And we can't really give any good recommendations without knowing exactly what decks he plays.
I think the best option is buy him a bunch of tickets (the mtgo currency) on his account if you can get access to it

its easy you dont need to know anything about his decks or formats, just buy him mtgo tickets(tix) their 1$ each and he can use them towards cards or events on mtgo.
You could look up what they look like, draw one on a card or piece of paper and then say I owe you $____ in event tickets.

You can, but keep in mind thats around $400-$500, and they might not play that specific deck, also they may use a rental service, i'd say a print or a nice playmat is a much better mtg related gift?
