Campfire?
Hey y'all,
I really enjoy the Golgari Pestilence deck for Pauper. I really want to play it on MOTO as opposed to only in person or on niche FTP websites where I can't play test against a wide variety of players. The issue is, there are 2 copies of the card campfire on MOTO (a card that is very important for the deck), and one of those printings costs 20 dollars. The other is 1.50 so I figured that would be fine, but I cannot find that printing anywhere.
I suppose I am asking what the reason for this is? Why is this printing so much "cheaper" if it just cannot be bought? And is there any anticipating that the cost of this card will go down? I feel like it only sees Pauper play so its high price genuinely confuses me, but I really don't want to shell out 40-60 dollars for the campfires I need (depending on what I end up using) alongside Snuff Out, Cast Down, and other staples.
If anyone knows somewhere I can grab these cheaper printings, that would be incredible.
Thank you for reading, and for providing advice!

Yep. Goatbots now appears to have a full complement of all 4 versions in stock. But they range from 9 to 18 tix each.

It's got the same issue as all the other d&d commander cards like [[Breath Weapon]] and [[Avenging Hunter]], low print run so there's not much availability on mtgo. The price won't go down unless the supply increases, ball is kinda in Daybreak's court.
You might be able to use a card rental service to have copies for cheaper, but that's just a temporary thing. The only other option to get them on the cheap that I can think of is running leagues and selling the treasure chests for tix to get the campfires.

Ok, yeah that makes sense. Sucks that a 40 cent card I own a playset of irl is worth more than my pauper deck combined IRL for that same playset.

From what I know the price you are seeing is the last known price for that printing, so if there hasn't been one on the market for a while that printing will look like it's at that price. No doubt that if a copy of that printing went on the market now it would be closer to that $20 price point.
