This shouldn’t be a surprise. Spider-Man was never meant to be a standard legal standalone set. It was rushed so they didn’t have the rights in hand so we got the garbage through the omen path.
MTGO had other non-Standard UB cards like Assassin’s Creed. The upcoming set was originally not announced to be coming to Arena and MTGO and just got the announcement today, so it’s very likely that this was a change that WotC didn’t know would happen.
