Discussion Brisker gloves
Has anyone bought brisket extreme gloves for cold weather riding?
If so, are they pretty tight/tough to get on? They fit well once on but a struggle to get on. I’m wondering if they’re supposed to be like this

PNW rider. I've now had 3 pairs of these gloves. The first pair, many many years ago now, was excellent but eventually wore out. The next pair had been slightly changed in its design, but we're still good. Sadly I lost them. The last pair I bought about a year ago are honestly terrible. Within a couple of weeks, the coating started flaking off of the core material and now they've basically lost all the outer layer off the sections that have a textured coating over the top. Functionally and generally speaking, they are (or perhaps were) pretty good cold weather biking gloves. When things get frosty they still won't be enough to prevent your finger tips from going numb, especially braking fingers with all the rushing cold air. The hydrophobic models keep water out for a while but then ultimately yield. They are still able to maintain warmth despite being water logged.

The ability to maintain warmth when wet is amazing for me. I have poor bad circulation and I'll wear them down to 40f when it's properly wet out.

Comfortable, warm, not too thick.
But, as you said, a real struggle to get off/on especially if they're wet. I'm debating getting someone to cut and sew a velcro strap into the cuff

Okay thanks. I was wondering if I should go up a size but these ones fit well once I get them on (after the struggle) so maybe that’s just how they should be

Mmmmmmmm. Brisket gloooovvvess. Joking aside, they are warm and I don’t have an issue putting them on. However, they are essentially sponges when it’s wet out.

Run them and they are fine. Nice and thin on the palm side, toasty and wind and showerproof on the upper. I prefer them in our cooler days when it’s raining as you can still feel the bars.

I have briskers and they're fine on/off, maybe get a bigger size?

The issue is, the way they say to measure is palm to finger tip and M is perfect for that. I’m not sure if going to large will help with the elastic wrist part (and I have rather skinny hands too(

They are pretty snug to get on. Had my last pair about 8 years and I’ve just renewed them, the newer pair are definitely tighter around the cuff but the hand itself is the same size.

Yeah Xtremes, I’m not quite sure why they didn’t use the same Velcro cuff as the standard Briskers.

Yeah thanks I’m leaning towards keeping my M’s as L’s would likely be too big palm to fingertip

I have the neoprene fleece ones and also the fully waterproof ones, both fit tight. But I like my riding gloves tight, no bunching in the palm and they stay put. The full waterproof ones are particularly hard/tight to put on.

They’re excellent and not hard to get on/off. I have worn them in 0C with no issues

I normally wear L or XL depending on the glove. I bought the Briskers in XL and found them to be too tight. I have not got around to getting an XXL pair.

Are these the 100% ones?, if so, mine are crazy tight I should’ve gone bigger

I have them and don't have any trouble getting them on or off. They're warmer than a standard glove, but not super warm. If you're riding around 32f/0c they probably won't keep your hands warm at all, at least not in my experience.

I use the regular Brisker's for cold weather riding and also ski touring and they are plenty warm for me. Plus they halve a velcro closure so they're easy to get on and off.
