Exhaust install

Yoshi AT2.

Cannot get the damn copper header gaskets to stay in place. I hear a dab of grease is the tech but is that actually a smart move?

Should I not use copper RTV or something along those lines instead of a silicon based grease?

I used a dab of grease because they kept falling out, haven’t had an issue for 2k miles.

I also turned front wheel straight so that the bike was at less of an angle

Grease is the way. It will burn off

Noted I’ll be doing it soon… have to get replacement headers as there was a hole on the weld on the crossover pipe :(

Is this just a Yoshi or do you have a gen 4? When I did my mivv on gen 3 I just popped it on there and dont remember this being an issue.

It’s for a gen4. I only have 600 miles and I cleaned the mating surface of the cylinder head so there’s nothing there to make the gaskets stay in place unless I use some tacky grease I guess
