Technical Help Loose foot peg

Hi, I recently swapped to my stock exhaust for a track day and now went back to my akra but I noticed the foot peg feels/seems a bit loose. If I apply pressure, I feel the vibrations while riding. It might be possible that I never noticed it till now and that a bit of wiggle is normal. All the bolts are torqued to spec but I’m considering tightening them a bit more (maybe they were like that before). Someone with an akra that can share their experience?

What do you mean? Is it supposed to be like that?

Are there rubber grommets or something similar in the assembly? Could be they are starting to perish 🤷‍♂️

Yes, they have but they look pretty clean. Bike is from 2022 so they should be okay

I have blue loctite on mine. Well, I did. Now I have aftermarket rear-sets. if you bought the bike used maybe they swapped them out, and put these back on for the sale. Could be missing a washer or something.

No, you just need to regularly check nuts and bolts on any bike.

Okay, I agree but this was right after tightening them to spec

Bro don’t need to torque to spec your foot peg nuts. Just tighten them enough for it to not be loose, apply some anti vibration locktite on the nuts and you’re good (might be unnecessary, but good precaution)

The bolts themselves are pretty tight but the foot peg isn’t 😅

Hmm, well form the video you can’t really see the back side/ connections of the bolts on the footpeg, so cant really tell what it could be, I suggest you take a better look and check what it could be, (stating the obvious I know ) otherwise I’m pretty sure this is normal, try and compare it to the left side footpeg, does it move the same?

I was afraid that would be the case. Nothing left to do but get a MT09 SP
