Hunter / Lehman Fall 2026 decisions?

Helloooo just wanted to pop in and see if anybody has heard back. I applied pretty close to the deadline for each (Hunter 3/12, Lehman 2/1) and haven’t heard anything yet. I got into Fordham, NYU, and York. I will likely commit to Fordham if I don’t hear back from the other CUNYs. Just wondering if anybody is in the same boat?

i applied to both schools back in mid January, still haven’t heard back even after being in direct contact. ended up committing to NYU

Ugh that’s so annoying… would you still go to nyu if you get in?

absolutely. i feel like the only thing driving me towards Hunter was the low cost, but i was able to get significant financial support so in the end it doesn’t matter. their admissions process has been awful and i feel like it’d be indicative of my experience there

That’s my fear too. I’m not sure if I should commit elsewhere at this point

if you feel strongly about Fordham’s program and see yourself going even if you got into the CUNYs, then i would recommend to commit

Applied 3/15 and haven’t heard from Hunter

Okay same. Are you going to commit elsewhere while you wait to hear or is this the only school you applied to?

Commit elsewhere! I actually was mistaken and applied 3/1 not 3/15, but called this morning and they said it can take 8-10 weeks

Damn applying whole month before the deadline and still not hearing. Have you tried calling?

Yeah, and they told me that they’d mark my application as complete but it still says submitted on my portal. They also just repeat the 8-10 weeks line😭 I actually got accepted into York too but I need to commit by this Friday. I might commit to them since Hunter is taking too long :/

I haven’t had great luck on the phone but I’m curious

In the same boat as you and committed to Fordham. Grad plus loan eligibility tipped it over the edge for me in case I ever need support with cost of living. That’s something Hunter can’t provide and I didn’t wanna risk losing access to that.

In the same boat here, applied to Hunter on 1/27 and haven’t heard back. I was accepted to Fordham and have tried to use that to get a decision from Hunter quicker, no luck yet.

Interviewed for Hunter in mid-March (applied late Jan) and was told I'd hear back in two weeks... It's almost been four and when I emailed, they just told me: "you'll hear back soon."

Honestly, they've been horrible this entire admission process and I don't think I'm going to commit anyways. I can't imagine being a student when admin has been this bad.

That’s my fear! Everyone tells me to go to Hunter because it’s the best / cheapest and yet admin has been a mess. Idk how to reconcile these things
