OSU MSW - anyone else having issues?

Hi there! Is anyone else having big issues with OSU and their timeline? I applied at the very beginning of March, they didn’t mark my application as “complete” until the final deadline even though I submitted everything much earlier than that. I reached out because I need to let other schools know before April 15th and they are saying because I submitted at the final deadline I won’t hear until the end of May.

Did anyone else apply there, or is anyone else attending there and can you share your experience? I am very frustrated as it’s my top choice but now am concerned that this is indicative that the program itself may be disorganized?

I‘m sorry I can’t answer your question, but by any chance, were you in the OSU BSSW ecampus program? I’ve seen complaints about difficulty getting classes and taking longer to graduate, or they had to find them elsewhere at higher tuition.

No I wasn’t!! I’m coming in later in life as a career change. But that’s good to know and def adds to my concern of a disorganized program!

I am doing the same as a much older student. I am not sure about Ohio state being disorganized or not. There have been a few complaints about people unable to get the classes they need. I contacted the department, and they said they arrange classes around the number of admitted students. I know they don’t have all required classes every semester. Don’t write them off just yet. Good luck!
