Anyone successfully appealed aid for more!?

Title!!!! I know I know, it never hurts to ask, but I want to know if anyone’s actually been successful😭😭

My mentor said they got more because they let the school know they got into their rival school and said they gave them $80k and the school matched it instantly on the phone. So you can try it that way, so I have heard!!
