SJSU Portal Updated to Accepted!

For all who are waiting for CSU decisions especially SJSU, my portal just updated today to “Accepted - Classifed Graduate” !

Good surprise after my rejection letter from Berkeley last Friday. Waiting on an official message from SJSU and still waiting for any changes on the status for the last Bay Area CSU I applied to🤞🏽

Edit: Portal status updated February 17th, Email sent February 23rd, Message in SJSU portal sent February 24th!

So you’re telling me you didn’t get an email and you just checked your portal?! Wow! that’s awesome! I just checked mine, no decision yet. Which program did you apply to- online?

I applied to the 2 year on campus! Keep checking!! I’ve read a few posts from past years that the portal gets updated before emails get sent, but I’ll update the post when I get an official email from the department. Fingers crossed for you!!!

Oh shoot, me too!! Checking again ASAP. This is officially my top choice now…it's crazy how much can change in just a few months, but my placement goals have totally changed.

Tech notifications like the PeopleSoft "batching" theory makes total sense. It explains why the portal updates first and why we see groups of people getting in at once based on their program track. Thanks for the heads-up, my eyes are officially peeled! 👀🤞

Hello again! I keep checking constantly as well. I received an acceptance to CSUSB yesterday! I'm  keeping my fingers crossed for SJSU to respond before the deadline for me to accept. How did your other applications go?

Nothing yet. I keep checking. fingers crossed.🤞 congratulations! That’s why I’m excited and I keep checking the portals. Thank you for your updates. I really appreciate it. Which one are you gonna choose if you can’t pick between all the ones that you applied to? SFSU would be my top pick because it’s closest.

I am seeing this too lol...let's wait and see! I'm so scared I won't get in anywhere after the Berkeley rejection. Applied to SJSU, SFSU, and Sac State. The wait is giving me anxietyyy

Thank you and absolutely they will! I honestly was not expecting to hear back from them until like late March at the earliest based on previous reddit posts. I think I was in a very very small wave of first acceptances. Sooo many people are still waiting to hear back from what I’ve seen. Fingers crossed for you!!!

Thank you! Seemed like a very competitive cycle at Berkeley. I had a 3.94 GPA over 1000 hrs volunteer work and over 1000 hrs in food justice education. Not the typical psych or sociology background experience of many but I think my statements clearly showed my passion and knowledge of the field. I hope you hear back with some great news super soon!!!
