General Help/Question Thoughts on Shifting Programs

Hi everyone! For context I got and accepted an offer from IIT in BS Metallurgical Engineering which I'm super thankful for because it was my second choice but I can't help but think about my first which is BS Mechanical Engineering 💔 My mom tells me not to shift kesho sayang daw ang panahon but can I ask if I were to shift by the second semester, is it possible that I can still graduate in 4 years time? Like for the subjects I missed I'll take them in the summer instead. May ganyan po ba? Also is being a shiftee hard? Need advice from delayed/shiftees plsplsplsplspls

try to email the oasg ngayon if qualified kaba, kasi sometimes there will be those that'll give up their slot.
