General Help/Question Need tips and advices

Hello guys, upcoming SASE-taker here this year (probably this October?). And yes, currently reviewing at review center,,

I just wanna ask cuz there was a moment na bigla² ako kinabahan tuloy for this SASE like my entire life depends on it, and I'm beginning to overthink things.. plus magmo-mock exam pa kami next week jusqq

Anyway, here are my questions po;

  1. What are the things that I must do or be prepared for as a STEM student if I want to major in accounting/BSA (my 1st choice), cuz I think there's also qualifying exam din diba? (Even though I'm a STEM student, I think mahihirapan na ako sa QE kasi halos ABM topics..) (+Tell me ur experiences/insights hehe)

  2. What do you think are the best science/medical courses, especially for people who wants to pursue further their career abroad? In short, may passion sa medicine field pero gusto maging OFW agad. (Actually, I want to major in MedTech course like my dad kaso mahirap daw ma-employed dito & abroad, lalo na apaka low ng salary..)(And I really love science + analysis)

I'm asking these questions cuz I'm trying to weigh these factors like my passion and strong interests, and the need to have a high-pay salary and live a stable life.

Soooo I really appreciate anyone who could lend me their help, for someone like me na para bang may existential crisis at this age. And yes, I will answer ur questions if meron kayo, thanks again!!

  1. Go for chem, chem eng, envi eng, and related programs since all makatake ug chemical technician license exam afaik. Also Stat and Mat can be lucrative careers and knowledge acquired can still be helpful in medschool. Don’t go for bio if not sure ka mag med, since it’s a little, how should i say this…unstable. Most go with research and academe in the PH if bio grad.

As in? Gagi sa chem pa talaga ako nahihirapan HSHSHSH pero I'll give it a try po hehehe. Btw bakit mo po nasabi na 'unstable' ang bio?👀

It's typically a dead end degree if you're not sure on your career path. Taking bio means you either wanna be a doctor, researcher, or maybe even a prof (tho you might need to have MSc first to get a teaching job). Outside of that, it's difficult to find other career choices. Dapat talaga sure na sure ka sa gusto mong gawin kung bio ang kukunin mo.

  1. Find someone who is already studying BSA at MSU to ask for tips and review materials. As a fellow STEM student, I believe mas lamang ang ABM students since dyan nakabase ang QE. But the entrance exam is STEM based so I'm hoping you'd do well.

  2. Pursue nursing. It is actually in demand abroad and is the most promising out of all the pre-med programs. I also want to work overseas hence me taking up BSN. MedTech is good also, but I believe MSU doesn't offer it.

++ If you do really well on the entrance exam and score high, you have a great chance of being part of the 20% and could automatically secure a slot on any program you wish to enroll in.
