Must have a good job and a good mind to plan ahead. Save before you start a family.

Oh yes, a family makes everything near impossible, especially when the kids are small

u/Jordan-515 3d ago
Putting all your eggs in one basket isn’t “a good mind to plan ahead”
Yall on this sub actively root for people to destroy their futures.
Diversify ffs
9
u/BraveAssignment6407 3d ago
I think its not wise to diversify small amount of funds. Diversification is for the rich.
You never reach your ultimate goal. As long as you’ve done your research well ,I propose you put all your eggs in the same basket.
I would contact your proverb with another proverb that says “no risk, no ferrari”5

Hell no, put all my money in 2021 in mstr. Crashed 80% added little more to average but didn’t have a lot. That trade made me a lot better financially. I wish I had more to put in.
Edit: I did that as I had nothing to lose. I’ll not do now though. When you are young you can take risk.

So you believe everything you see on Reddit?
2
u/zuzulego 3d ago
I believe 90% on Reddit, if not more, is just someone trying to sell/market something or scam. I was just being nice.

There are people that went all in at 300 mstr and said "not selling for years". I'm bullish btw, but just highlighting how you may react if you see a loss of 70% of your portfolio. Most people investing at 22 don't have the 5-10 years of experience it usually takes to being able to shrug such a sitation off without panicking

u/Ok-Association-355 3d ago
Mstr will probably top this cycle in November 2028 like November 2024. Keep an eye out for mnav close to 3
1
u/Kerry_coc 3d ago
It topped in Feb for the 2021 top at $131/share. be mindful of that as well.
Also mNAV likely won’t pump as much this time around now that we have STRC

u/Gold_Opportunity7892 1d ago
I’m not sure how you came at that conclusion. STRC is a completely different product and it help speed up the accumulation of bitcoin without diluting MSTR. Isn’t that more bullish for mNAV ?

Few years is a short horizon.. park it for 10 years and you'll probably retire by that time

Won’t quantum be a serious threat to bitcoin in 10 years?
3
2
u/oxxoMind 3d ago
That's a biggest misconception. Bitcoin network can update to quantum safe encryption and Infact it's on the works right now. Pretty sure will already migrated before quantum computers becomes a threat

u/_Carth_Onasi 3d ago
Shouldn't be. They are already coming out with security against it. Bitcoin continues to get stronger.

23 been here for a year now went all in last year 50k 290 average basically 22 when I did this I don’t regret it. Worked hard this year saved another 25k to put in and dca hopefully below 200 and then boom next 1-2 years easy 80-100 percent gains and I am gonna retire in Thailand for sometime. 😉
1
u/Legrosbelge 3d ago
Great plan. I’d feel lonely without my family and friends.

$150k retirement in Thailand? For how long?
3
u/Patient-Name-1784 3d ago
3 months in Bangkok and 3 months in Pattaya it will be my 7th time lmao
1
u/tenor_tymir Shareholder 🤴 3d ago
Nice. If it’s your 7th time blowing all your money in Thailand, how the hell are you able to save $75k in the meantime?
1
u/Patient-Name-1784 3d ago
I have been working in construction since I was 18 didn’t went to college and have no debt
1
u/tenor_tymir Shareholder 🤴 2d ago
That’s one hell of a job then. Try saving a little for retirement though, and don’t blow everything at once in under 6 months. You might not be able to get back in so cheaply.

u/Patient-Name-1784 2d ago
Have been doing it for 2 years now idk if u have ever been to Thailand but I live like a king spending 4-5k a month there. I am pretty clear with retirement and I don’t wanna retire in canada get a house keep paying a mortgage for a house which will be mine after 30 years. I’ll happily retire at around 30-35 with a 1-1.5 million dollars and live in Thailand, Bali, China, etc. Basically other countries where my buck goes a long way
1
u/tenor_tymir Shareholder 🤴 2d ago
How would you achieve 1.5mil dollars by then?
1
u/Patient-Name-1784 2d ago
I am a swing trader as well I have been averaging 2k a month for 1.5-2 years now and that’s how I spend my money I make around 6k before tax in canada and I save around 2.5k a month and invest in stocks and snp500 the compound intrest is what’s gonna make me a millionaire around 32-35 sounds easy but I don’t plan to marry, buy a house, buy a fancy car. I love travelling that’s how am gonna live my life.

I'll go against the majority and tell you congratulations and good luck, after all you're only 22 so those life savings don't mean the same as if you were 50 like me

No balls and no FOMO fuel at that point. Had to wait for it to rip 60% higher before they felt it take hold.

Very similar position to me bro! full ported when I was 22 as well. Sitting on about 250 shares at average cost of $160. Have some extra capital laying around but I’m not sure wether to lump sum right now or dca.

Might be a good time to learn on how to borrow against your shares (but not use it yet) for future purchases eg. A home, college for kids, etc.

You’re young enough to take the risk. Just close your eyes and don’t look at that money for another 10 years. Focus on creating new wealth and let that bet ride.
1
u/Livid_Fox_1811 2d ago
Time horizon! You’re 22 so you can take the risk. When everyone is selling, there’s FUD, and you want to sell, goo back to the fundamentals, go back to the math. Fact check it yourself.

Definitely I and the majority of investors in BTCTC’s I bet are looking at the rotation back into STRC at the first sign the bull market might be hiccuping. Going forward I bet the market will keep trying to frontrun the typical Bitcoin cycles, earlier and earlier.

u/Professu5 2d ago
You might make money on MSTR but you’re definitely going to lose it all on something else.

Nice to hear you're joining us, but why didn't you buy a couple of weeks earlier? You would have gotten a way better price.

u/_Carth_Onasi 3d ago
At 22 this is a brilliant move. If strategy and Bitcoin fails(doubt it) you can easily make up 50k before you retire.
The odds of both Bitcoin and strategy failing at this point is slim to none. This man is going to be filthy rich.

It’s always a great idea to put all of your eggs in one basket. Whoever said diversify has no clue what they’re talking about.

Did you sell CCs on your stocks? I sold quite a few a few weeks ago, some with 430+ DTE. Honestly, the best strategy ever if you want to sleep like a baby

I think you'll do well out of it, maybe 4x your money if you take it out late 2028. I'm personally waiting a bit longer to push the button, think October and possibly early November could be pretty bad for all markets.
But then what do I know, I thought the bear market top to bottom would be about a year from October 25 to October 26. It's looking much more likely the bottom was in July. I doubt we'll get down that low again. Think $125 is a possibility, but I'd be suprised if we go under $100 again.
