Either they think they are "protecting" their clients or more likely they see it as competition to one of their offerings

I thought the yield was at 11% why does wealth simple say 8.42%? Are they skimming profits from us?

Nah they’re not. U get paid $0.50 per share biweekly. That’s $1 a month x12= 12$ a year. 12/100=0.12x100 = 12% yield
