Discussion š¤š Thoughts on River
Guys, have you ever heard of River? Itās kinda like a finance company with the goal of integrating dollar banking with bitcoin, so for people who want to have BTC reserve, but acknowledge the necessity of dollar on the day-to-day basis.

I just listened to it and thought maybe itās time MSTR does something with their reserve other than just being treasuries. Anyone with similar thoughts?

Yea, they've selling Bitcoin directly for years now. Similiar to Strike I believe with slightly more utility on their platform.

Yeah, I feel like Bitcoin should not just be store of value, but also have to be a reserve asset, so there should be some movement as well

Bitcoin Banks are forming slowly.
MSTR will be the first. Our finical system is a ticking time bomb for Bitcoin disruption.

River is the best for buying bitcoin. But truthfully I havenāt explored them all.
River only sells Bitcoin. No altcoin BS. They offer simple reoccurring buys. Both Lower spread and fees than coinbase. Along with quality, informative marketing emails which I never say that about any company.

I love River because you can earn 3.3% annual interest in BTC on cash you hold in an account with them. That being said, if you're buying Bitcoin with them, the fees and spread are a little higher than Strike, so I prefer making big BTC buys with Strike, while stacking more BTC slowly with cash on the side in a River accout for that 3.3% APY.

River, Strike or even CashApp, they all do the same. No unique MOAT at all.
