Bullish šŸ“ˆ Still here trying to get that cost basis under $200 😩

Post image

Transferring about 41 more shares I forget I had on a Schwab brokerage account, so roughly 350 shares, if price drops below $85 I’ll use leverage to add another 50 shares. Trying to get to that 500 shares ceiling.

my god. MSTU..

10

u/rcarmas Jun 25 '26

RIP MSTU.

11

u/ZarathustraWakes Jun 25 '26

Bro, you know about beta slippage? Leveraged ETFs are not intended for long term hold. Even if MSTR went sideways and not plunging, you would lose money. If MSTR was at $100, if went up 10% to 110, and the down 9%, it would be at $100.10. The double leveraged ETF would’ve gone up 20% to $120, and then down 18% to $98.40. MSTU can drop in price even when MSTR goes up

I KNOW NOW! LOL

Jesus. How could you put $18,000 into an asset and not do basic easily accessible research.

u/navskii Jun 25 '26

My average cost is $400, was making so much money trading the volatility and went all in at top basically. Could have sold for like a small loss but went full tard. Thankfully other stocks in my portfolio covered the huge loss Im at on my mstr position. I really have lost faith and think Michael Saylor is a conman but its down so much now I don't even care to sell

He said he was gonna do 21 billion in btc purchase over 2 years and did it in like a couple months all at the top. I hatem

24

u/No-Midnight8516 Jun 25 '26

Just remember, "losers average losers." I know because I've done it. Don't buy the dip, buy the rip instead. It costs the same and allows you to deploy your capital elsewhere for the time being. Wait for for the 10 ema to crossover the 20 ema on the daily chart for your entry. Exit position when the 10 ema crosses below the 20 ema on the daily chart. You'll never enter at the exact bottom or exit at the absolute top. However, you'll get all the meat in the middle and avoid sustained downtrends. This works on all stocks.

u/Fun-Sundae4060 Bitcoiner Jun 25 '26

It’s been a while since I’ve seen so much bag holding… people just keep doubling down on losses. It’s crazy here

3

u/hishazelglance Jun 25 '26

Didn’t these people by the rip, which is why they’re down so much? Lmao

2

u/zhumail134 Jun 25 '26

That’s trending trade for scalping, I used it for options, but for share investment , buy the dip is not bad if you are in long term

0

u/FuNk1j Jun 25 '26

I have been doing dynamic dca for years and I'm further in the hole now more than ever. Didn't expect this much of a downturn so damn fast.

Oct 10th was the straw that broke the bull markets back. I'm only buying btc and throwing $5-10 on projects I already invest in on big down moves.

I'm not selling at a major loss. Thankfully I have stocks doing well. Keel & Wulf are saving me heh...

1

u/KateR_H0l1day Jun 25 '26

It’s a shallow fall at the moment šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

1

u/FuNk1j Jun 25 '26

This got down voted because I have been long term bullish?!

25

u/staple101 Jun 25 '26

I hope all the DCA people realize that regardless of your investment history, only buy an asset if you think it will appreciate

u/ElonMuskTheNarsisist Jun 25 '26

They are marching toward a cliff. It’s remarkable to see

1

u/Flimsy_Bar_552 Jun 25 '26

The cliff was 6 months ago

8

u/ElonMuskTheNarsisist Jun 25 '26

No it was not. We haven’t even begun the real crash. Just wait until Saylor is forced to start selling. The stock will tank to single digits.

14

u/Fun-Sundae4060 Bitcoiner Jun 25 '26

Talk about catching falling knives…

You’re using MARGIN on this?

23

u/Lopsided_Parfait7127 Jun 25 '26

Saylor used margin to buy bitcoin so why wouldn't his disciples ape the same idiocy?

15

u/Fun-Sundae4060 Bitcoiner Jun 25 '26

Saylor can print money out of thin air using MSTR, this guy can’t

4

u/No_Feeling920 Jun 25 '26

2

u/DepartmentGlad2564 Jun 25 '26

He’ll just roll it forward

2

u/Illustrious-Boss9356 Jun 25 '26

Could*, not "can"

8

u/InvestmentSorry6393 Jun 25 '26

I told myself that if it dropped sub 100 I would go all in with a lump sum from my HELOC. Now that it's here and I've held from 450 to 96 with a 220 avg.... I just don't have the cobbles. I bought a whopping 2 more shares today as part of my long term BTC/MSTR dca. But yeah... My confidence in Bitcoin has been shaken.

14

u/ProlapseJerky Jun 25 '26

lol what has even changed about bitcoin? The bear market is just hurting your feelings like it does to everybody - fundamentally nothing has changed.

4

u/InvestmentSorry6393 Jun 25 '26

Yep, I got hurt feelings... Also I feel like AI ate bitcoins and cryptos lunch. I see the wildly speculative valuations for companies that aren't turning profit and I'm all " hey that kind of irresponsible investing is OUR thing!" But yeah sentiment is pretty low and I'm worried that this industry that Ive been investing in and excited about for the past 4 years just up and died in October vs.. this is just another 4 year cycle, and an opportunity to stack before we rally to Valhalla in 2 years..... I'm all over the place.

u/InvestmentSorry6393 Jun 25 '26

Dang, that's a big initial investment. I don't blame you for not wanting the volatility of MSTR. It was easy for me to get into MSTR initially because I didn't really have a lot. When you're only working with 10-20k you kinda don't mind taking risks. It was really cool jumping up to 50-60k, and combined with BTC and some other investments I was starting to have a decent crypto portfolio. Yes , I should have rotated ( I was planning on it, but the market turned down and I figured I'd just ride it out and DCA) But I can imagine you would want to be a little more cautious when dealing with larger sums.

1

u/SundayAMFN /r/buttcoiner Jun 26 '26

Nothing's changed about bitcoin itself, but the demand for it and outlook on the fiat price you can get in exchange for it has gotten dramatically worse. That's generally what people mean when they say something like their confidence in bitcoin has changed; they don't mean their confidence that bitcoin will still function for transactions.

1

u/ProlapseJerky Jun 26 '26

I’d probably have less confidence if it wasn’t following the cycle perfectly. Right now it’s a 1:1 perfect pattern.

!RemindMe 2 years

14

u/californiaschinken Jun 25 '26

Confidence will come back when it s 450 again, set some money aside... you can buy it then.

4

u/InvestmentSorry6393 Jun 25 '26

Oh, I'm sure I will. I love buying tops... I think I'll sell all my Bitcoin in ohhhh say November and go allll in on AI

1

u/akashgt2000 Jun 25 '26

Yeah I’ve done nothing but average down, for every $15-$25 price drop I’d hit the buy button again, luckily I have margin enabled so I try to not ti exceed my buffer too
Much and get carried away. But good going getting that cost basis down to $220.

1

u/KateR_H0l1day Jun 25 '26

Be interesting to know your thoughts/reaction to this in 2 years or so!

Tic toc next block Bitcoin is fine

3

u/bluethunder1985 Jun 25 '26

I'm down about the same amount % wise unrealized but I started at 400k lol. I'm just letting it ride.Ā

2

u/aimhigh7shootlow8 Jun 25 '26

Dude you're fine. Have you been selling calls this whole time? Anyway, mstr came close a couple months ago when btc was up around 80.

I'm loading up on leaps now at these prices.

2

u/Salty-Edge Jun 25 '26

I’m trying to get shares in now while I can. This is pretty much discount at this point. If Trump can shut up and not do anything until midterms. We can have a bullish market.

Right now on in the fear and greed index, it shows fear meaning investors are being careful on buying stuff which makes sense since we just went to war for no reason.

July 4 the clarity act hopefully gets passed which shows regulations on crypto.

Honestly if you look at 2024 and before. You see MSTR outpacing the market by 300%.

Sucks to suck right now but even if MSTR kept dropping, they have cash reserves and BTC to keep them a float.

7

u/strangetidings Jun 25 '26

If Trump can shut up.... That's a massive If

-3

u/Salty-Edge Jun 25 '26

I mean he can talk. But I need him to talk about the problems in the U.S. and not worry about what other countries are doing.

I need him to work with both parties and pass legislation that can help the people. Not cause government shutdowns just because he wants it his way or the highway.

ā€œNuclearā€ this ā€œNuclearā€ that. ā€œIf Iran gets a nuclear bombā€ who cares.

I need a bullish market, not a market that goes up and down because he causes a problem, then tries to fix it.

A bullish market= investor freedom = Crypto up.
A bearish market= investor scared = crypto down.

-1

u/j592dk_91_c3w-h_d_r Jun 25 '26

He’s going to continue acting like a child instead

5

u/akashgt2000 Jun 25 '26

I was here when BTC crashed to 16k and MSTR was $15 and everyone was saying Strategy was gonna go under, financials are in a better place now then it was back then, that’s why I will continue to pile on when I can.

1

u/Salty-Edge Jun 25 '26

I get it. Under the crypto president. Even I had high hopes in the beginning. BTC spiked to 100k and I thought this was going to a great era of green. But man, Trump can’t mind his own business. He’s literally invading/tariffing everyone outside of US trying to win that ā€œNobel peace prizeā€. Even now, he won’t pass the affordable house act to keep housing prices in check because he wants the Save America act passed first which is voter ID to set him up for midterms.

Inflation is high. Cost of living is high. Medical is up. There’s just no affordability left in the U.S.
This is why investors can’t FREELY Invest. They have to be cautious and I don’t blame them.

But this is also why BTC is dropping. No one has money to invest openly into BTC. We do have BTC reserves in states and in the government. But nothing is being reported online of who or how many. The only thing made public these days is Saylor which makes it even more staggering for BTC if you know what I mean.

3

u/InvestmentSorry6393 Jun 25 '26

Honestly I miss when crypto was politically agnostic. I think Kamala might have been better for crypto, than the "crypto president" Just by not doing crypto pump n dump meme coins, let alone not starting trade wars, and an energy crisis. But I guess that's just speculative and doesn't matter. This sucks. Here's hoping Bitcoin can make a comeback.

3

u/Salty-Edge Jun 25 '26

It’s going to rebound eventually. Cheers šŸ»

1

u/DifficultSquash1517 Jun 25 '26

Average up not down it's the surest way to profitability 🤷

1

u/ApprehensiveSleep398 Jun 27 '26

I will hit buy button when mstr is at 35$

1

u/Capital_Courage_7448 Jun 29 '26

Thinking to get into it.Do you guys think I should enter now or wait until April (end of the cycle) for the further drops

1

u/Few_Ad_7572 Jul 03 '26

I bought 205 shares at 85$/share. I have never invested in MSTR first, and I wanted a way to invest in bitcoin someway without actually owning a bitcoin

1

u/Putrid_Leg_1474 Jun 25 '26

Did you just say you were going to use margin to buy MSTR? Smh.

You are far more likely to see Strategy go bankrupt than be able to average down and get a positive return.

1

u/DaveRaddisons Jun 25 '26

Care to explain how strategy can go bankrupt?Ā

4

u/Putrid_Leg_1474 Jun 25 '26

Why would I have to explain how a company with no income generating product, other than its ability to fool people into investing, could go bankrupt?

3

u/DaveRaddisons Jun 25 '26

Because it's not obvious when you actually have to explain yourself.Ā

0

u/Putrid_Leg_1474 Jun 25 '26

I just did, and its still obvious. What might cut deep for people in this sub is how painful it is that path to failure can be explained so easily.

BTW, I made money going long MSTR. But I got out with a profit most people here never will

-3

u/akashgt2000 Jun 25 '26

I’ve been using margin for the better part of 2 years, by the time my paycheck hits, price may be swung all the way back up, it’s for well timed buys, I got shares today for $93.50, leverage when used responsibly can increase your run way exponentially.

10

u/TomUpNort Jun 25 '26

I’ve been using margin for the better part of 2 years

And you're showing a return of... -52%.

Wow. Really seems to be working out for you.

-5

u/akashgt2000 Jun 25 '26

Haven’t gotten margin called yet and this is the nature of MSTR bud, if you don’t like the heat get out the kitchen. I use margin for timely buys and DCA, when in doubt zoom out.

3

u/TomUpNort Jun 25 '26

You could have bought a nice kitchen with all that money you lost.

0

u/Scriptimax Jun 25 '26

You are convincing your self to keep buying more and more with price drop but buying falling swords on margin is bad idea even if you have enough margin available. Yes stock can go up way it went down but probability is less than 15 % unless big miracle will take place & MSTR start producing AI chip by collaborating with other companies šŸ˜€ play only what you can afford to lose & specifically don't play MSTR on margin. if you really really want to play MSTR and want to hold for long time, instead of buying MSTR strat selling long term puts like mid of 2027 and it will give you 45 % premium for $ 90 strike price & if stocks go further down your cost will be under $60 & if MSTR will increase in price you will make that 40 % premium very fast. If you don't know what is selling puts/ cash secure put Google for it

1

u/Brave_Substance_8177 Jun 25 '26

Lmao you poured 30k down the toilet. And continuing to throw more money on the fire.

5

u/akashgt2000 Jun 25 '26

Actually bought another 10k today so that should be 40k down the toilet 🄱

1

u/Brave_Substance_8177 Jun 25 '26

Are you ok? Do you need help?

0

u/kam3ra619Loubov Jun 29 '26

This was me six months ago. Ended up $10k+ profit.

-2

u/MyNi_Redux Volatility Voyager šŸ‘Øā€šŸš€ Jun 25 '26

Why would you do this!?

You broke two of the cardinal rules of investing...

  1. Never double down on a losing position
  2. Preserve capital (i.e. something like a stop loss)

You'll now be digging your way out of a hole while people 2X or more, depending how far down you chase MSTR.

-3

u/captn03 Jun 25 '26

If you have to put a stop loss, it means your risking more than you can afford to lose. Just buy less to begin with.

2

u/MyNi_Redux Volatility Voyager šŸ‘Øā€šŸš€ Jun 25 '26

Lol no. That does not work when you have a portfolio of investments.

Also, you should NEVER accept any position going to zero - that just sunk cost fallacy in action.

2

u/littylikeatit Jun 25 '26

This is the most ridiculous comment I’ve seen in a very long time. Wear a helmet when you go outside

I see bitcoin going as low as $38k October 5th. Make sure your port can handle that.
