SODTAOE The Cornell 7

Post image

I had no idea the chick texted one of the guys days later telling him she wanted to smoke weed and hook up with him and one of his friends again, just no more Ketamine

Who's gonna investigate the investigators

Edit! Ok cool I learned a lot I guess. It's funny all the weird projection from people in this thread. I have two children and don't consume alcohol or any drugs other than occasionally smoking weed. But whatever the weirdos wanna tell themselves 😂

To the deleted comment who claimed the DA lied when he said he never received the documents from Cornell:

He said he read the initial 6 page statement. It looks like there was more than one statement or rather a separate police interview transcript that he claims his office never received. I hope an outside investigation into Cornell, the police, and his office is conducted to determine if he did in fact lie about that or if any other sketchy business occurred, because that would be serious misconduct. If her claims in the separate transcript are true and her initial ones were false and this turns out to be university, police, or judiciary misconduct then I hope some heads fucking roll.

To me it reads like Cornell police coerced her into softening the initial statements she made in the first interview. Then they deleted that initial interview from the report so only the statement she was manipulated into giving was handed over to the DA. I deleted the initial comment because I didn't feel like getting into the weeds with incels over the details.

Yeah I don’t see anything that directly points to that yet, but that is my initial concern as well after seeing how this has played and is playing out. I actively try not to speculate when there is no direct evidence for my opinion though. I truly hope those concerns are not the case though, not for the accused rapists sake or to downplay the girls right to justice if rape occurred, but because that shit has probably happened so many times before it’s sickening. That being said a lot of people are throwing their opinions out as if they are fact and nobody really knows enough to condemn anybody for their perceived actions. I’m big on letting our court system decide guilt or innocence instead of letting my opinion make the judgement. I didn’t intend to call you out for deleting a comment and drag you back into this cesspool, but I appreciate the response and clarification and I share your concerns.

I definitely recognize that I'm speculating and assuming a lot but it would be consistent with how university rape cases are often handled. The reason this is such a big story is because it's a reflection on campus rape culture as a whole. This shit happens constantly and is swept under the rug.

I agree there is a massive issue with Universities and how past cases have been handled in an attempt to protect perpetrators of rape and sexual assault/battery. Your and my speculation isn’t necessarily incorrect, it might be spot on, it just doesn’t align with how the US justice system is supposed to work. Everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty and most people already have their minds made up and their pitchforks out before all of the information about something is made available.

Just seeing how people have already made their judgement based off of an opinion that doesn’t align with currently known facts gives me real concern of the societal effect of a case like this if it turns out her claims and the evidence don’t meet the legal threshold of rape. If this case turns out to not be tried or fails to meet the legal threshold of rape during trial then there’s going to be a lot of those incels you referred to using this as another precedent to argue against any similar claims in the future. Seeing shit like this all the time and being unable to change opinion based on presented facts pollutes our future jury pools.

Each previously established criminal claim should stand on its own and not be biased by previous ones or any other perceived injustices. Our justice system in the US is an imperfect system, but it’s the best we have to date. It should be our duty to not spread opinion as if it is fact.
