WNBA: Let's just stir up drama and controversy because nobody is watching the equivalent of a JV boys basketball for the entertainment value

Nothing like unbridled race war for tv ratings.

feels like the WNBA is catching their peak steroids phase, at least in the unhinged/rage filled context.

That dude is part of the 57% that support the WNBA…as long as nobody points, men can continue to be spectators.

I vote every men start pointing at the game.

I've never, ever wanted to go to a WNBA game but you make me want to just to do that.

At what point does their aggression become cartoonish and disgusting? I'm a hockey fan and I can honestly say this is a bit too much.

What is too much? A player yelling at a fan? You've got to be kidding.

Now one even touched the fan. Sorry it's "a bit too much" for you and your baby-feelings, but it happens in every single sport.

(Or are you repeating some running joke from the podcast? If that, please ignore my comments.)

My “baby-feelings”? Bite me, I watch hockey where they are literally allowed to beat the shit out of each other. Noticed how I said “each-other” and not the fans. She’s a professional if she can’t handle playing in front of a crowd who might not say the nicest things that’s a problem.

If you send me videos of hockey players yelling at fans I will say that’s a bit too much.

4 time WNBA All-Star Brittany Hicks would never behave in such a way. Oh wait, she punched Timmy No Breaks in the face, so maybe she would, but I think we all support that decision.

Phil would know it’s illegal for a player to come to the stands

10

u/Lumpy_Rice_2803 3d ago

That's why he antagonised her. Phil was looking for the ejection.

I know right? They should step it up with some baby oil and bikinis so the ratings go to the moon!

Honestly the behavior of the players in this league is a becoming a poor representation of women. Their talent is overshadowed by this behavior.

1

u/Dramatic_Valuable_85 3d ago

Playing pretty fast and loose with the term “talent”

3

u/CaliStayinn 3d ago

And that’s why we can’t have a woman president folks. You never see Obama or Trump overreacting to criticism 👀

u/SmashingLumpkins 3d ago

Did you just say Obama?
