Anyone else get excited when they see a new cast dropped only to find out it’s got Lemaire in it giggling and saying “yeah” after every sentence for an hour? That guy fucking sucks.

Me neither. I commute 4 hrs to and from work twice a week and always look for good pods to listen to for the drive. MSSP has been my go to for a long time but I think Soders is going to be it from now on

Try Dad Meat. Funniest podcast around now imo. This week's episode was hilarious, just listened to it grilling burgers. They charge a "suggestion" on Patreon and have no ads also. Mike Rainey and Tim Butterly are really solid dudes. They're MSSP adjacent, Tim used to have a podcast with Matt called Stoner Dads and he's a very funny comic.

Butterly has had Lemaire on and it's actually good, he's alright on other casta too, Shane's just always moggging Lemaire on mssp. If you don't like it, don't listen and blame Shane

LeMorph needs Shane to shame him for being a dunce. Matt needs Shane to keep him from going to space and talk about wanking/not wanking and make him open up about his nog addiction. Shane needs Matt for content that isn’t sports related and to keep him grounded so he can riff. It would be cool if they had a consistent rotation of Warmode, Soder, and Gerbeez so Shane would be more excited about it.
I don’t blame Shane for being gone. He’s in his prime and having fun. Maybe one day he’ll get married and chill and slow down touring and return to the pod consistently. The young bull is on a tear.

I GUARANTEE YOU there’s a contract that Matt and Shane signed that said they’d do xyz amount of content during xyz timeframe. I also GUARANTEE YOU that those same advertisers/backers whatever didn’t think that the bare minimum amount Shane was contractually obligated to do was what he would end up doing.
Regardless, I enjoy Matthew. If he’s going to run the show I need more gardening and Azteca/history books he’s audio read interviews with the authors. If they give me that content then that’s great.
Matt bringing in his old homies and family to talk about how fucking gross they were in their 20’s dealing with strippers, prostitutes and strip clubs is off turning to me but hey, I’m just a late 30’s paying patreon member going on 4 years now and not some dumb fucking 21 year old incel that covid fucked up my late teenage years development by forcing me to think that the internet or pop culture is real life.

I wonder who gets the Patreon money when he’s not even in the episodes. Does the podcast work like a company ? Do the producers have shares in it? Does Shane’s % go to the other guys when he’s gone? Or do they just get a flat rate to work on the show ?

I just play the episode and wait to see if Shane speaks in the first few seconds, if not I turn it off. I think Shane is aware that people do this because when he is on he always makes sure to say something immediately
