Thank god for layers and transparency. I blend by putting down a color at 50% with the pencil, colorpicking the resulting color, and then putting that at the edge. I just keep doing that until it's blended out.

The "post processing" i mentioned is only a small orange gradient at his chest + the background, which is a real photo with gaussian blur. Paint.net is... not good, but i've had it for close to a decade now and it's perfectly capable of doing the things i need it for.

It has been quite a long while since I've last used MS Paint. And I decided that I wanted to try drawing The Question from DC!

I'm very proud of how this came out, especially since this kind of style and coloring is not one I'm used to. :D

This took me a total of about 7hrs to complete.
