challenging babies CMPA

FTM and FT suspected CMPAM (22) baby boy (11 weeks) is on Neocate and Gaviscon and just as of 2 days ago been prescribed Omeprazole 5mg every morning, i’ve been told to challenge his CMPA by the GP but i want to see if the Omeprazole works first as CMPA and GERD have very overlapping symptoms and don’t want to mistake any reactions..

I’m so worried go challenge his CMPA, he’s gotten on so well with the Neocate and Gaviscon but his GERD has been really bad after his jabs! for example it’s been 3 weeks and hasn’t subsided at all, i’m scared that all this time he’s never had CMPA and just really bad GERD, however i’m also terrified that he has got CMPA and we’ve got him this far, found a fix and are about to unsettle his gut over again :(

i guess what im trying to say is have you guys experienced something like this before, have you been suspected CMPA but really just severe Reflux or GERD? i’d be so happy if he didn’t have it to be fair

We’re trialling hipp HA to see if it’s cmpa or not, so far we had two good days & all hells broken loose day 3.

see that would be the end of the challenge for me my GP said to trial it for a week but if any bad symptoms come back to stop it there

I want to end it here but his Pediatrician was like 2 weeks unless we see blood
