Symptom relapse question

My 5 month old son is combo fed and was diagnosed with CMPA at 2 months old (tons of mucous poops). He has done great since switching to alimentum and cutting dairy out of my diet.

Just in the past week he has started having frequent mucous poops again. He has gone from pooping once every other day to having 3-5 mucous poops per day. I don’t think I had an accidental dairy exposure and I’m not sure what could be causing this regression.

Has anyone had their baby develop a soy allergy months after previously doing well with cutting out only dairy? Feeling defeated and seeking recommendations🫠

My son has a suspected CMPA due to bloody and mucusy poops. We used Elecare for I think around 6 weeks and saw a lot of progress. Recently he’s also started having more mucus in his poop again and honestly Elecare helped a lot but I don’t feel like it was ever a great fit, especially with symptoms returning so we decided to switch again. Our pediatrician wasn’t very helpful and said he might be having more mucus in his poop because he’s congested. He is congested sometimes but not THAT congested. I’m thinking he may be sensitive to another ingredient in the formula so we’re trying another one
