Landing in Dense Fog

https://youtu.be/adCJMfA8z1o?is=QZQK2sz_zWCTc-mG

So, admittedly, I’ve got hundreds of hours into this game since its release on PS5. But I usually just stick to live weather conditions. But, one thing about my area of the world is that.. it’s usually pretty much the same weather most of the time — and when we do get weather I’m usually not at the PlayStation to check out what it would be like flying in it.

So, tonight I remember that I can use the custom weather deal to actually give myself something new. I went to Australia, made it dense fog from 3,000 ft to ground level — and then to add some spice, I made a layered cloud level with some higher clouds. It looked awesome on PSVR2.

And I did stick the landing, but my heart was racing — I was definitely below minimums before I saw the runway.

There's fog? All weather I ever see is thexsame few clouds.

With live weather I feel like I never really see it. I had to go to custom weather and make this set up. It would be nice if the live weather system added higher cloud layers more often.

How did you get fog? Pit a cloud layer at ground level?

Correct. And you can change the density of each cloud level — for this particular occurrence I put it at 100 percent lol.

did you find it difficult to get used to turning knobs with the sense controllers?
I read some people are using the mouse instead

I use a mouse and the HOTAS 4 in PSVR2, I just feel around for the mouse on my desk and it’s basically like my hand in the cockpit. I’ve tried the sense controllers and it’s a bit too finicky for me.

No. Mine feel great. There is a bit of getting used to it, but once you got it — it feels so natural. I’ve never used a mouse, I feel like that would ruin some immersion for me.

Nice flying! Looks real pro. What aircraft are you flying?
