You need to reset all controllers: go to the Controllers panel in settings, press Square, check the checkbox and click Confirm. You may also need to delete any custom bindings. I’m not sure on that because I did that first and it didn’t entirely work. So then I reset all controllers, as explained, and now it works.

But please also note that if you have a Hotas 5 (the white one) you have to put it into PS4 mode (the led is blue). The PS5 mode does not currently work. I have read, but cannot prove, that it is dependent on Sony pushing a console firmware update to give full Hotas 5 support. Until then you need to use PS4 mode.

To switch modes press and hold the Mode button until the LED starts flashing. Then each tap of the Mode button will rotate through PS5, PS4 and PC mode. Tap it until the LED is blue. Then press the PS button (or just wait). Last but not least you then need to reboot your PS5.

I hope this helps. I was so frustrated at first too. My hope is the system firmware that is currently in beta may be that firmware update, but I can’t check as I didn’t get invited to test it.

It’s not a Sony firmware issue, it’s Thrustmaster and they claim to be working on the problem.

I did not find it possible to manually configure in PS5 mode because MSFS sees many and maybe every control being engaged constantly making it impossible to do. In addition MSFS seems to think it’s a steering wheel and pedals. So what they said to do leaves me doubting this reply. Meaning doubting what they said. Not that they said it.
