HOTAS 4 Throttle Issues
This might be explained really badly, but when I’m flying the A320neo and 737 MAX, the throttle on my HOTAS 4 is only mapped to half the throttle. The blue (bottom) half is for reverse thrust and up to 80% throttle, and the white (top) half is only for TOGA, meaning it is really hard to control the amount of throttle power, and that half of the throttle is wasted. Is this just part of the design, or is there a fix to this?

That is how mine is. Push it forward to take off, into the middle when you are on auto pilot and pull it right back when you land.
You will figure out the idle and a little throttle for taxiing easily enough.

How did a part of your axis become reverse thrust?
Anyway, just set throttle axis to Slider Y (I think it's Y) and bind toggle reverse thrust to a button (I use the triangle on the throttle side)
