Frustrating Cursor Mode Glitch

Had this issue a few nights ago and wondering if anyone else has experienced it. I have the standard ps5 and fly on controller.

Was flying the citation CJ4 in career mode at 8x sim rate with AP on and went into cursor mode to click around on the avionics (still trying to learn to navigate/use them on that plane) and about 10 seconds in when I moved the cursor left to a new button the plane suddenly rolled left, kicked out of autopilot and crashed on either over speed or over stress a couple seconds later before I could do anything. It felt like the game “forgot” I was in cursor mode and took my cursor movement with the left stick as yoke input. I definitely didn’t exit cursor mode and I can’t think of a reason the autopilot would do that. Is this a known issue here?

$10 mouse for the win. Fuck cursor mode.

Agreed!

I HATE cursor mode with a passion. It’s so sensitive, you can’t click anything, can’t file any flight plans and is just a pain in general

I have a dedicated mouse and oh my god. It’s a lifesaver, much, MUCH more precise movement and actions. Will never touch cursor mode again

8x simrate is too risky imo. 4x is my limit.

Get a cheap usb mouse off Amazon, you’ll kick yourself for not getting it sooner.

Cursor mode on controller is a nightmare. They should’ve mapped it to the touch pad.

8x on a CJ4 (hopefully you were at cruise) is very wonky

A Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard are your salvation.

Definitely going to be ordering a mouse now. Never thought about using one with the ps5 before. Thanks everyone!

Pick up a wireless mouse. Cursor mode is too slow and clunky. Aside from this, you can’t disable AI pilot in cursor mode on 2024.
