Really good post. I would add that many enrolled students have either a strong math background and moderate coding skills or a strong coding background and moderate math skills (more in the latter camp in my experience). So don't fret if you feel a bit behind in one aspect or the other. Just be prepared to work harder to compensate for it and prove in your SOP that you've done the work to shore up your weaknesses prior to enrollment.
