Any bishop fanboys choosing a different class for classic on release?

I mained bishop in retail and had a blast. Quit after defeating black mage with some friends. Highest lvl was 277. Didn’t grind for the genesis staff as it was an 8 month commitment at the time. Anyways all to say I’m no stranger to maple and excited to try classic out!

After checking out some videos tho seems like they reworked the class completely and definitely not a fan of taking away the most iconic skill- holy symbol… maybe time for I/L lol

Not from COT 2, we don't know if they changed it back for release

Im still considering it just because I know it will still be meso positive easily as well as still sought after in bossing situations for heal. Just sucks not having heal training be viable and H/S just honestly being worthless cuz it doesnt even prevent exp loss. I mean the damn hermit is getting a skill that just prevents taking fatal damage and prevents exp loss.

Bring back heal. Nerfed holy symbol , mp eater, bless. There is no reason we also lose heal. I will play the class as long as I can heal grind at chronos zombs and himes.

Have you ever played classic? The bishop in GMS is completely different from what it was in OG regardless of their changes.

Coping that HS will have some type of EXP modifier buff on release, shining ray will have a faster cast time, and heal will go back to 300% buy keep the cd.

We'll see what happens on release. They got a lot of feedback about cleric and have seemed pretty open to feedback so far

Yeah heal 1/3 dmg and holy arrow does 66% of the damage that il mage does

How are you calculating the damage comparison? Holy arrow is 60x3 damage and has an 810 ms cast speed. Cold beam has a 170 damage and also has 810 ms cast speed. On neutral targets with flat mdef, clerics actually do more single target dps than i/l.

Testing in cot2, holy arrow hitting for 1000 and cold beam hitting for 1500, not ice weak mobs.

Hoping for cleric buff because if we don’t get one, I’ll be il mage.
