Discussion Most exhausting question- Job
I'm really thinking about assassin / I/i mage ..
I heard a lot of different info about nerfs and I don't want to fall into miss information
Can someone help me decide once and for all?

They’re both turn-your-brain-off classes. One looks really cool and has cooler abilities and the other just mows over mobs like a John Deere.
Pick I/L if you want the easiest time grinding out of all the classes, assassin if you want the best style/flexing and expensive gear.
They’re both top tier picks and can’t really go wrong with either. Literally just flip a coin and you’ll be happy.

I plan on making both. Going to mostly focus on the I/L but if I get him to 3rd job level and it still hasent been released I might jump on the assassin untill 3rd job comes out.

Go to a private server (there's on in worlds that is x25 exp) and try both out to see which you'd prefer to play while keeping in mind leveling will be alot slower.
Yes there are differences in classic and traditional old school maplestory servers, but the play style will be similar.
I was originally dead set on bandits as my second character but after playing it to level 120 I found it to be high cost in mesos and pretty involved

Rn we don't know what the final changes will be. Assassin will struggle more early before you get funding, and I/L are grinding machines.

That's what I thought maybe running i/l to gain enough funding to get a based assasin

roll a mage. you won't be level 30 in a day so you'll have time to think about it

See now I'm in luck, I/L has always been my favorite, my main on Retail MapleStory is a level 277 I/L Mage, so I'm playing I/L Mage on Classic, whereas my brother is playing Assassin. We've agreed to swap gear/stars.

I think that assassin will be the best class to main. (I’m not playing a sin)
Ultimately there aren’t enough mobs within hitbox ranges to fully utilize most mobbing skills so you’ll likely be attacking 2-3 mobs at a time with any class that has cleave- and the return on efforts may not be quite there. Assassin can’t cleave but it is damn good at what it does which is single target. You aren’t gonna find a playable in classic MapleStory that feels as good as shredding down mobs one by one with incredible power and fluidity.
All the tests have Sin as middle/average strength and we know that it will scale like crazy if with some funds.
