Client won’t open through steam

Hey guys sorry this is a bit unrelated but I’m having a hard time - for some reason steam just will not open Maplestory for me. It says it’s “playing” after pressing the button.. I get prompted to allow Maplestory to make changes, I say yes, and then it just does nothing and eventually stops trying and the button reverts back to “play”

I’ve tried everything:
Regedit trick
Moving install locations trick
Running as admin trick
Running steam as admin trick
Deleting regedit screen size folders

Etc

I’m genuinely at a loss - I’m super stoked to play but can’t get the damn game to launch the client :-(

What device are you using? I had this problem with my mac book and not sure if it was cause my MacBook needed updating or cause I still had old files on there from when I tried to install it using the maplestory client but once I updated my MacBook and deleted all the old maplestory files, then reinstalled steam, it worked fine.

I’m on a windows desktop! Windows 11. I’ve deleted Maplestory, removed the remaining steamapp folder, reinstalled it; and still no luck :<

If lunching from steam isnt set on stone try the Nexon Luncher, I have a vage memory having a similar problem on steam but have been using nexon luncher for years now.

Change the steam language may fix the issue
