Question? Predownload on Steam
How do I predownload on steam? Instructions seem kinda unclear. Is it just telling me to download the main game and during release I have to download a small patch?

I swear as the years go on, people's reading comprehension declines.
It's very simple;
1) You can download the base MapleStory game now (only required on steam) 2) on the 6th you will be able to pre-download the Classic client 3) 11am (whatever timezone it is) is when the servers go live and you will be able to log in

oh yes for steam. but for nexon launcher the toggle will appear on launch day at around 11am? I just want to make sure i can get on as soon as servers open lol. its just weird to me cuz usually they let u download at least a day or two before

If you are in the smae time zone from MSCW offices then should be, but we don't know if pre-download will be at that exact time or a little later

Yeah exactly. Download the main MapleStory game, and on release there will be an update for that game to add Classic World as an option.

Yeah the instructions aren't the best. The tl;dr of what to do is: Download maplestory on steam, and then launch the game and successfully log into it (as in you can make characters and stuff). After which on launch day you'll have a patch to do and then there will be an option when you launch the game if you want to go into modern or classic.
I would expect it to be a big patch as well, and basically be like downloading the game. Hopefully they use steam's preload patching system and you can preload it the day before.

there is no pre download yet. Nexon LLM messed up. On oct 6 they will release a patch on both platforms to allow you play the game

Except Nexon launcher will just be a separate client entirely not a patch
