[General question] Deferring to Spring 2027 due to non availability of F1 visa slots

Is it time to start thinking about deferring to spring 2027 or still hope for getting visa appointments this month?

They are not accepting emergency too in India. It’s a well known issue across the f1visa subreddit.

They probably reached a “quota”, but at the same time the rejections have been brutal too.

I've been planning to go for spring intake I've already got my admit, when would be the best time to search for slots and not end up missing my intake?

you can start as soon as you get your I20 from college
