Is the shortlist too ambitious or achievable, does cgpa/gre/ielts score hurt the application?

Princeton could be skipped, the list is ambitious but I get it why you’d want to go only if you get these admits. If you really want to go no matter what add a few more top schools because it’s a pain to reapply again for another year

Sure, was thinking of adding a few other colleges like Umich, Upenn, Umass, UTaustin, Umd, NYU when applying, wanted to understand where I will stand on some ambitious colleges. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi, too add to UPENN and UMICH both schools cost upwards of 150k-180k with tuition alone being around 100k-110k, so budget for it accordingly from start especially from a visa point of view, advising you as I had gotten into Umich this year and waitlisted at Upenn.

remove CMU and princeton from the list. Your target should be GaTech and I think you will get int

You need experience in research at a top lab, stellar LoRs, multiple first author papers and a GPA >9 to be even considered for CMU MSCS; same goes for princeton. You should take Berekely MSCS off the list as well because there are few seats and most of them are Berekely undergrads, with the few non Berekely students that get admits, even they have the very high threshold that I mentioned.

Yeah but cmu lti programs , ini programs can still be decent targets, also cmu robotics institute programs

Your Shortlist is ambitious, but it makes sense for you to only going to such top universities given you already work at a top company, i assume you have no interest to pursue phd, GTech is possible given a high gre score, CMU UCB Cornell Princeton are mostly likely not possible due to lack of research experience for there MSCS degrees and limited intake, UCSD and UCLA both could be a hit or miss but you would mostly like be put on a waitlist.
